Programme notes:
Holly Rumble will be performing a ritualistic, geology-inspired sound performance lecture. She will be using rocks and sand from across Britain, to create looped textural sounds exploring the surfaces and structure of each type of stone. The specimens include gabbro: a magnetic rock from the Isle of Skye.
In the context of the festival theme “The Future”, Holly has been considering the three decades of collecting that has led her to this point, and the time represented by these stones.
